There was no shortage of inspired work in the East region this year, whether from Washington, D.C. or Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. From robot posters to Kandinsky books, every piece showcases a unique design perspective. Sitting in the shadow of New York City, it’s understandable that some designers here consider themselves underdogs. But Jennifer Kinon, the judge for the region this year, found nothing but quality work. “Clients in the East must be very happy in general,” she says. “The work I saw would satisfy almost any design brief on every level.”
